Which Kokopelli Lizard Is Right for You?

The Kokopelli Lizard is available in three fuel configurations — wood burning, match lit gas, and electronic AWEIS gas. Use this guide to choose the setup that fits your lifestyle and outdoor space.

Step 1 — Choose Your Fuel Type
Fuel Type Best For Starting Price
🔥 Wood Burning ⭐ Best Value The classic fire pit experience — real wood, real crackle, total ambiance. No gas line or propane tank required. Perfect for those who love the ritual of building a fire and want the best price. $939
Match Lit Gas (NG or LP) Instant, on-demand gas fire with manual ignition — turn the valve and light with a long match or lighter. Great for frequent entertaining without wood storage or cleanup. Requires a gas supply. $3,484
Electronic AWEIS Gas (NG or LP) The premium option — All Weather Electronic Ignition System with push-button starts, windproof flame-sensing technology, and full remote operation. Ideal for year-round use and maximum convenience. $6,382
Step 2 — Natural Gas or Liquid Propane?

Gas configurations only — skip this step if you selected Wood Burning.

Natural Gas (NG) Liquid Propane (LP)
Connection Permanent underground gas line — requires a licensed plumber or gas fitter to connect Standard propane tank (20 lb or larger) — no permanent connection or installation required
Best For Permanent outdoor installations with existing natural gas service at the home Flexible placement, rented properties, or areas without natural gas access
Fuel Cost Lower cost per BTU over time Higher per-BTU cost, but no gas line installation expense
Price Same as LP Same as NG

Not sure which configuration is the best fit for your setup? Our team is happy to help you decide.
